  1. First off Ι ωаnt to say fаntastic blog!
I had a quick question in ωhich I'd like to ask if you do not mind. I was curious to know how you center yourself and clear your thoughts prior to writing. I have had a tough time clearing my mind in getting my thoughts out there. I do take pleasure in writing however it just seems like the first 10 to 15 minutes are generally wasted just trying to figure out how to begin. Any ideas or hints? Cheers!

  2. Thanks for this supportive comment - it's so good to get positive feedback! Do tell me what it is in particular you like about it. In answer to your question, I don't think I do deliberately prepare myself to write the blog. I need to be 'in the mood', and this sometimes doesn't happen for months at a time. I think the main driver for me to write is excitement about the ideas I'm trying to share. I splurge out a few sentences in a rush, and then spend more time editing and improving them. I am trying to write well, and one of my main models for good blog writing is the writer of Spitalfields Life, one of my featured blogs, who in my opinion writes beautifully: direct, unfussy, informative, and with a much stronger focus on the people he's writing about than on himself. I hope this helps, all the best.
